In the cement sector we encourage the use of raw materials and alternative fuels at the Plants. We also reuse the waste from construction and demolition works to develop our recycled products.
In recent years we have developed a comprehensive climate and energy strategy, taking on our responsibility to minimise and make up for our emissions.
We are aware of the potential that the spaces associated with our activity have when it comes to achieving a positive net balance for nature and biodiversity.
COMMITMENT TO SOCIETY
The cement industry is a sector with strong local roots, investing in long-term operations, so it has a special responsibility to the communities where it operates.
Our attitude to collaboration in economic and social development is by no means new. Our industry is over 100 years old and we could quote numerous examples of actions showing commitment with the environment long before the term Corporate Social Responsibility was coined.
